Software Engineer - Allegro Business

Allegro is the most popular shopping platform in Poland and the largest e-commerce platform of European origin. It operates a marketplace model with over 135,000 merchants and more than 250 million offers across key categories. The platform reaches 22 million customers monthly, offers fast and free deliveries under Allegro Smart!, and includes modern financial services and a wide pickup network.

• 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Solid foundation in microservices architecture and cloud environments.
• Experience with code reviews and software engineering best practices.
• Comfortable interacting with stakeholders and taking full end-to-end ownership.
• English language proficiency at least B2 level.

Nice to have:

• Openness to diverse technologies including Frontend (not required to be a React master).

• Design and scale backend services capable of handling complex business accounts and high transaction volumes.
• Lead and mentor the team, set the bar for code quality, manage tech debt, and share knowledge.
• Collaborate directly with Product Manager and UX Designer to turn complex requirements into clean, working software.
• Ensure critical services run smoothly and reliably; participate in on-call rotation.
