Senior IT Administrator

Argus Data Insights Germany is seeking a Senior IT Administrator to support their Digital Workplace IT department, which focuses on shaping and developing a modern work environment with technologies like Microsoft 365 and client management for Apple and Windows devices. The department collaborates closely with various teams to create a flexible and secure work environment.

• Many years of experience in IT-Operations and Architecting role
• Experience working with on-prem, Azure, and hybrid environments
• Good knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems
• Ability to manage MS Windows roles such as DHCP, DNS, and PKI
• Administration of the VMware virtualization platform including automation and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, particularly VMware or Hyper-V
• Administration of containerized systems based on Kubernetes
• Experience in managing backup systems (e.g., Veeam)
• Ability to work with monitoring systems (e.g., PRTG) and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues
• Good understanding of network protocols, firewall systems, network and IT security principles
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
• Very good command of English, at least C1 level
• Higher education degree
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database management and optimization is an additional asset
• Occasional meetings in Frankfurt/Berlin/Zurich 6-8 times a year

• Configure and maintain internal systems to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Modernize and upgrade network infrastructure
• Install servers, devices, and firewalls
• Train new system users and manage account configurations
• Monitor server, software, and hardware performance
• Ensure smooth deployment and integration of new applications
• Keep technical documentation updated and accurate
• Provide mentorship and support to junior team members
