Senior AI Engineer

Square One Resources is recruiting for a client’s central AI Technologies team focused on building modern, production-grade AI systems used across multiple products.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering
• Experience in building production AI systems or data-intensive systems
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, and tool use/function calling
• Experience in end-to-end system design including APIs, data pipelines, retrieval, and cloud
• Ability to define and measure AI system quality considering trade-offs like cost, latency, and quality
• Experience delivering systems from prototype to production in agile environments
• Strong architectural thinking and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Very good English communication skills (minimum B2+/C1)

• Design and develop shared, reusable AI components and services for multiple products
• Build production-ready AI systems including LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, tool use, and orchestration
• Design and implement AI evaluation frameworks measuring accuracy, latency, cost, and reliability
• Collaborate with product teams to identify and deliver shared AI use cases
• Prototype new AI solutions and evolve them into scalable production systems
• Implement modern AI engineering practices such as Spec-Driven Development and AI-assisted engineering
• Ensure standards for observability, governance, security, and responsible AI
• Support and mentor other engineers
