Data Engineer

Bayer is hiring for their Digital Hub Warsaw to join the EMEA DevOps team as a Data Engineer supporting data-driven Digital Applications. The role focuses on data integration, analytics enablement, and operational reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or digital application operations.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools such as AWS Glue, Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory, or comparable technologies.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including relational database concepts.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and data integration.
• Experience with Power BI, including semantic models, dashboard development, and report maintenance.
• Ability to work closely with technical and business stakeholders to solve problems and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent English; German language skills are preferred.

• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
• Integrate and transform data from operational and cloud-based sources.
• Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reports.
• Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot data issues, support incident resolution, and maintain reporting reliability.
• Ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of data products.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Optimize and maintain existing reporting solutions.

At Bayer, commitment to transparency, equal pay for equal work or work of equal value, and objective reward practices in line with EU and local regulations. Minimum monthly gross compensation is 15,360 PLN with final pay based on experience, qualifications, scope of responsibility, and internal alignment. Position eligible for variable pay components awarded according to employee group, role scope, and compensation structure.
