Java Developer

We are seeking a Java Developer to become a valued addition to our team. You will join a talented engineering community that delivers mission-critical solutions powering our worldwide business operations and fostering innovation within the financial sector.

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software engineering roles
• Strong practical background in Java for creating reliable server-side applications
• Sound understanding of low-latency and multi-threaded programming for performance-critical systems
• Deep familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns; exposure to functional programming is a significant advantage
• Experience working within agile teams and applying agile practices
• Strong comprehension of Rates and Credit bonds and derivatives, including their market behavior
• Thorough understanding of trading venues such as Bloomberg and TradeWeb
• Practical experience using Kafka for messaging and event-driven communication
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level or above)

Nice to have:

• General awareness of Financial Market Instruments and their use in trading contexts
• Advanced proficiency with ION and substantial prior experience using the ION toolset
• Previous involvement in bond pricing through PXE
• Background in automated testing methods and continuous integration workflows
• Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or similar

• Architect and implement solutions to tackle major business challenges, either through Java application development or using the ION toolset
• Improve and restructure existing components and solutions to enhance performance, maintainability, and code quality
• Drive UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholders to facilitate communication and approvals
• Extract critical information from business stakeholders and convert it into actionable IT requirements
• Collaborate with other IT teams globally to provide cohesive, end-to-end solutions
• Assist the production operations team during deployments and contribute to ongoing production support tasks
