Automation Engineer (f/m) - Łódź

Bosch Polska is a global technology leader focusing on high-quality technologies and services. The role is part of a worldwide team responsible for IT operations and automation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Server and Cloud services.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux server administration and engineering (RHEL, Ubuntu/Debian) in large-scale environments (10,000+ systems).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Ansible script development and knowledge of Ansible Automation Platform including infrastructure setup, API-driven automation, workflow creation, job scheduling, RBAC integration, and secrets management (CyberArk or HashiCorp Vault).
• Comprehensive knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, Agile principles (CI/CD, GitOps), and ITIL-based IT Service Management frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise patch management solutions (Satellite, SUSE Manager, BigFix).
• Strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills for global collaboration.

Nice to have:

• Experience with monitoring systems such as Icinga, Zabbix, or CheckMK.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools like Splunk or Power BI.
• Experience integrating Linux infrastructure with Active Directory and Privilege Access Management (PAM) solutions.

• Implement API-driven automations for global Linux and Cloud service operations following the Automation Framework and Roadmap.
• Design and automate OS installation, hardening, patch management, and upgrades for large-scale Linux servers.
• Continuously improve automation for Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management (ITIL).
• Maintain and secure CI/CD pipelines, address audit findings and IT risks.
• Ensure high availability of systems and collaborate with L1/L2 support to resolve technical issues.
• Consult IT and DevOps teams on security best practices for Linux/Unix systems in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Manage hosts, golden images, and create automations for cloud platforms.
