Senior Backend Engineer - Go and/or Python

HelloTech is a global technology division of over 1,000 people powering an end-to-end food ecosystem, including digital personalization, forecasting, supply chain optimization, and food waste reduction.

• Senior-level expertise in at least one core language: Go or Python, with high proficiency in one stack and willingness to expand knowledge into Go.
• Solid experience building, deploying, and operating critical backend services in production.
• Technical comfort with distributed systems, messaging queues, containerization, and modern deployment infrastructure.
• Strong software engineering instincts, including practical application of design methodologies like TDD, BDD, or DDD.
• Excellent communication skills to operate effectively in an international, multi-disciplinary technical environment.

• Maintain accountability for the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operation of microservices under a full DevOps model.
• Build event-driven systems utilizing messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS, and expose data via REST and gRPC interfaces.
• Work extensively with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automated deployment pipelines.
• Maintain a strong commitment to testing, executing robust test suites from unit tests to full end-to-end coverage.
• Collaborate closely within cross-functional agile teams including product leads, frontend engineers, designers, and data teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, participating in code and architecture reviews.
• Leverage modern AI tools and workflows (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to increase engineering productivity.
