Business Analyst – Airline Operations & IT

Lufthansa Systems Poland is a recognized provider of IT solutions and services for the aeronautical, logistic, and financial industries. It is part of the Lufthansa Group and implements technological solutions and dedicated services.

• Aviation background through education or hands-on experience in airline or flight operations, with understanding of flight briefing, flight planning, cockpit workflows, and airline operations.
• Strong analytical thinking skills to structure complex problems and derive pragmatic solutions.
• Experience or strong motivation to work as a Business Analyst in IT projects, including requirements engineering and analysis techniques.
• Ability to translate operational needs into structured inputs for development and testing.
• Very good communication skills and a proactive, collaborative working style.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written (B2/C1).
• Readiness to work in a hybrid model with 2 days in the office in Gdańsk.

Nice to have:

• Experience in aviation, airline IT, flight operations, or cockpit environments.
• Hands-on experience in business analysis or collaboration with development teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum), Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of APIs, data flows, or system integrations.
• Experience with operational or safety-critical systems.
• Interest in improving processes, documentation, and ways of working.
• Polish language skills for internal collaboration.

• Analyze operational scenarios and user needs in the aviation domain, considering constraints, safety requirements, and real-world usage.
• Elicit, document, and refine functional and non-functional requirements for new and existing systems.
• Translate business and operational needs into clear, implementation-ready specifications for development and testing.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, development teams, and product roles in an international environment.
• Support solution design, implementation, and validation to ensure alignment with user expectations.
