Tech Lead Java

Link Group is hiring a seasoned Java Developer with leadership qualities to guide technical direction and support an engineering team. The role involves working on backend development with a focus on microservices and API-first approaches, within a hybrid work environment in Warsaw, Poland.

• Exceptional communication and coordination skills.
• Proven ability to identify the technical critical path and ensure successful delivery.
• Strong sense of ownership, multitasking abilities, and a proactive, self-sufficient mindset.
• Strong command of Java (versions 11 to 25), including memory management, concurrency, and JDBC.
• Extensive experience with Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot 2 to 4) and JPA/Hibernate.
• Solid RDBMS experience, focusing on Oracle SQL development and query optimization.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, asynchronous messaging, and web communication (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, API-First).
• Proficiency with Git and Maven.
• Knowledge of backend security practices.
• Commitment to writing clean, high-coverage unit and integration tests.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, or OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools like Jenkins and SonarQube.
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks.
• Past involvement in high-level technical architecture and design.
• Experience working in geographically distributed, international teams.

Technical Leadership:

• Spearhead architectural and solutioning discussions with stakeholders to map out the best technical paths.

Team Empowerment:

• Actively remove bottlenecks within the delivery pipeline.
• Mentor team members to elevate their technical skills.

Quality Assurance:

• Guard technical standards, ensuring deliverables align with security benchmarks, code quality metrics, and engineering best practices.

Backend Development:

• Drive hands-on development across multiple applications, including greenfield projects and evolution of existing systems.

Collaboration & Process:

• Conduct proactive technical analysis.
• Perform thorough code reviews.
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies.
