Junior Python Developer - AI & Innovation Team

Adzuna is a job search engine that lists every job, everywhere. Launched in 2011 in the UK, it now serves tens of millions of visitors monthly across 19 markets. The company builds AI-powered tools for job seekers and operates from its HQ in West London alongside remote teams.

• 1–2 years of commercial software development experience using Python.
• Located within a 2-hour timezone of London and able to work standard UK business hours remotely.
• Legal right to work remotely as an independent contractor; no visa sponsorship available.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Technical degree (2:1 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of Python fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable Python code in live environments.
• Good working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Git version control.
• Curious, proactive fast learner with interest in AI/ML.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS (Tailwind), and React for frontend development.
• Experience coding LLMs into production and using LLM coding tools.
• Understanding of web scraping, DOM parsing, and browser automation/testing tools like Playwright or Selenium.
• Active GitHub profile showcasing work or personal projects.

• Write clean, testable, and efficient Python code for core AI products and automated search and apply tools.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to integrate machine learning models, LLM pipelines, and agentic frameworks into production.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs and data workflows handling large volumes of job vacancy data.
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability and smooth deployments.
• Write robust unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and reduce deployment risks.
