Senior Software Engineer (C++,Qt, CAD/CAE)

Sopra Steria is one of the largest players in the tech industry in Europe, known for consulting, digital services, and software development. The Polish branch operates as the Global Delivery Center in Katowice since 2007 with around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department specializes in cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security. The Application Services department handles software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM, ERP platform integrations, and application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

• 5+ years of commercial experience in a senior or senior-ready role.
• Strong proficiency in Modern C++ (minimum C++14; C++20 or newer preferred).
• Solid experience with Qt5 framework modules: Core, GUI, Widgets, SQL, Concurrent.
• Fluency in Linux environments with command-line skills and tools like Bash, grep, sed, less.
• Practical knowledge of Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic Python knowledge for writing and executing test scripts.
• Experience working in multinational and distributed environments.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• EU citizenship.
• Fluent English (B2/C1).
• Willingness for occasional business trips abroad and visits to the Katowice office.

Nice to have:

• Experience developing CAD or CAE systems.
• Familiarity with VTK for 3D graphics, image processing, and visualization.
• Proven experience in shared, remote, or distributed development environments.

• Create and test software to enhance the solution and related modules and services.
• Facilitate testing, integration, and troubleshooting activities.
• Shape and apply software standards of clean code and performance optimization techniques.
