Senior Data Engineer

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including building and optimizing data engineering workloads
• Experience with Databricks notebooks, Spark-based processing, and medallion-style data architecture is a strong advantage
• Strong expertise in SQL and T-SQL
• Experience building data pipelines, data models, and integrations
• Knowledge of APIs, data integration patterns, and security concepts
• Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, version control, and code reviews
• Experience with data governance, GDPR, or GxP environments is a strong plus
• Fluency in Polish (C1) and English (B2)
• Ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving approach
• Strong communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics
• Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions
• Team player with mentoring mindset

Technical Leadership & Solution Design:

• Take ownership of critical data pipelines, platforms, and integrations
• Design end-to-end solutions including architecture, data models, and operations
• Drive engineering best practices such as code quality, reviews, and standards
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technology evolution

Data Engineering & Platform Development:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Develop and operate cloud-native data platforms on Azure
• Work with structured and unstructured data sources
• Ensure performance, availability, and reliability of systems
• Contribute to automation including CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code

Operational Excellence:

• Own incident management, root cause analysis, and improvements
• Ensure monitoring, testing, and reliable deployments
• Support critical data services

Governance & Compliance (GxP):

• Ensure compliance with GxP, GDPR, and IT governance standards
• Maintain high-quality documentation such as SOPs and system documentation

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
• Guide decision-making by explaining technical trade-offs
• Work with cross-functional IT teams and external partners

Mentoring & Team Development:

• Coach and support other engineers
• Promote knowledge sharing and engineering maturity
• Contribute to a strong, collaborative team culture
