Software Factory Architect

SquareDev uses state-of-the-art technology to build solutions for customers and partners, participating in research projects across Europe and collaborating with top universities and enterprises on AI, Data, and Cloud.

• At least 8 years of IT experience and 5 years in an architecture role.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale and cloud-native distributed systems.
• Hands-on development background in backend and/or frontend technologies (.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar).
• Strong DevSecOps knowledge: CI/CD platform design, containerisation, orchestration, and platform engineering.
• Experience as a recognised technical leader influencing teams and driving decisions without direct authority.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate architecture vision clearly.
• At least 2 certifications from: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent), Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (or equivalent), Red Hat Certified Architect - RHCA (or equivalent).
• English B2 level certification or higher.

Nice to have:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.
• Experience modelling systems in ArchiMate notation.
• Strong understanding of architecture styles and patterns.

• Acting as a trusted technical advisor across software engineering teams.
• Designing and evolving the software development lifecycle and processes.
• Reviewing and recommending end-to-end solution architectures for complex projects.
• Defining architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Owning and evolving the engineering vision across the software factory.
• Ensuring consistency and alignment of architectures at enterprise level.
• Providing consultations and mentoring to senior engineers and technical leads.
