Senior Python Developer

Scalo is a company delivering software projects and supporting partners in business development. They provide software enabling faster action and better results, utilizing a wide range of IT services including technology consulting, software development, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated development teams.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Python backend development
• Proficient in Python 3.12+ and asynchronous programming (async/await)
• Experience with FastAPI and Pydantic v2
• Experience with SQLAlchemy 2.0, Alembic, and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of JWT/OAuth authorization mechanisms
• Experience writing automated tests with pytest
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, and Git
• Proficient English communication skills (minimum B2 level)

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture
• Experience with Redis
• Familiarity with data processing tools such as Polars, Pandas, PyArrow
• Experience with observability solutions

• Develop backend applications using Python 3.13
• Design and develop REST APIs
• Design data models and optimize PostgreSQL queries
• Create and maintain solutions based on SQLAlchemy and Alembic
• Implement authorization mechanisms using JWT/OAuth
• Develop and maintain automated tests using pytest
• Collaborate with Microsoft Azure-based infrastructure
• Support CI/CD processes and application containerization
