Senior Cloud Architect, Delivery (GenAI) - Portugal

• 4+ years of experience architecting, deploying, and managing cloud-based AI/ML solutions including production workloads.
• Proven experience designing and operating large distributed systems on AWS.
• Advanced proficiency with AWS services relevant to AI/ML and Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock for deploying and scaling foundation models and Generative AI workloads.
• Experience fine-tuning and deploying Large Language Models and multimodal AI using Amazon SageMaker.
• Strong prompt engineering skills and familiarity with model evaluation (quality, safety, performance).
• Understanding of agentic capabilities and AI agent integration patterns.
• Experience with Amazon Q Business and Amazon Q Developer or similar tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Amazon SageMaker components including Pipelines, Model Monitor, Data Wrangler, and SageMaker Clarify.
• Proficiency integrating TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other ML frameworks with SageMaker.
• Experience with distributed training and performance optimization for inference.
• Strong data engineering skills on AWS including Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Lake Formation, and Redshift.
• Experience building end-to-end AI/ML workflows using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and containerized deployments on Amazon EKS / AWS Fargate.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD for AI/ML using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, SageMaker Pipelines, or similar.
• Proficiency in monitoring AI systems using Amazon CloudWatch and SageMaker Model Monitor.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, security, and compliance on AWS including IAM, KMS, and data privacy.
• Familiarity with AI ethics and bias detection/mitigation tools.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud AI tools sufficient for multi-cloud architecture reasoning.
• Proven ability to mentor peers and collaborate across Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams.

Bonus Points:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Additional data or AI certifications.
• Experience with RLHF, advanced fine-tuning techniques, and hybrid AI architectures.
• Familiarity with Hugging Face or similar open-source ecosystems integrated with AWS.
• Prior experience as ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or AI-focused Architect in consulting or SaaS.
• Experience with JIRA or similar tools and Agile practices.

Core – Deep Cloud Expertise:

• Lead technical optimization work across cost, reliability, security, and performance.
• Design and implement solutions to improve cost efficiency, reliability, security posture, and reduce operational toil.
• Plan and deliver structured engagements such as Cloud Optimization Sessions and architecture reviews.
• Respond to expert inquiries requiring deep cloud engineering expertise.
• Provide domain depth in ML/GenAI workloads, MLOps, monitoring, logging, and FinOps.

Builder – Product Feedback & Contribution:

• Convert one-off customer solutions into reusable patterns and documentation.
• Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams on product gaps and automation opportunities.
• Contribute code and own specific DCI features end-to-end.
• Build agent skills, scripts, and internal tooling to scale expertise.
• Share learnings via documentation, demos, and training sessions.

Account Team – Embedded Execution:

• Operate as an embedded technical partner within account teams.
• Own technical deployment, automation, platform adoption, and proactive engagement.
• Collaborate with customer engineers, architects, and FinOps teams to deliver optimization plans.
• Co-deliver complex engagements with peer FDEs.
• Communicate complex technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the global FDE community.

Product Expert – DoiT Cloud Intelligence™ (DCI):

• Master DCI products and services including Cloud Analytics, DCI Insights, Cloud Composer, CloudFlow, DataHub, and PerfectScale.
• Build and operationalize dashboards and reports for engineering, finance, and leadership.
• Use DCI Insights to identify and prioritize cost, risk, and reliability opportunities.
• Implement Cloud Composer queries and build CloudFlow automations.
• Help customers embed DCI into observability, CI/CD, and governance processes.

This role is based remotely in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Israel and is available to Full-Time Employees. The job is also open to contractors in Eastern Europe or Portugal.
