Forward Deployed Engineer

TechTree's client is an AI transformation firm that helps companies turn AI ambition into working business systems by combining strategic advisory with hands-on and agentic execution, from board-level governance to AI systems deployed in real workflows.

• Experience with AI tools and large language models (LLMs).
• Ability to work in client-facing roles, including running interviews and presenting findings.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments delivering in 4–6 week cycles.
• Low ego and ability to take direct feedback and adjust.
• Technical skills sufficient to assess system architecture.
• Curiosity about business processes and second-order effects.
• Daily use and understanding of AI tools such as Claude, GPT, Cursor, and Claude Code.
• Ability to work directly with executives and founders.

Discovery phase:

• Lead technical discovery by mapping client processes, systems, and data.
• Conduct 5–10 structured stakeholder interviews to understand operations.
• Assess data quality and integration possibilities.
• Score AI opportunities by business impact, feasibility, and speed to value.
• Identify processes suitable for AI agents.
• Collaborate with founder to select build targets.

Build phase:

• Translate discovery into architecture including agent workflows, integrations, and data flows.
• Work alongside the Founding AI Engineer during build.
• Manage client-side coordination including access, testing, and feedback.
• Conduct parallel user training.
• Demo progress weekly to stakeholders.

Prove phase:

• Measure results against business case.
• Support leadership presentations with concrete data.
• Map next AI opportunities for client roadmap.
• Extract patterns and templates for internal IP library.

Between engagements:

• Refine discovery frameworks.
• Help build AI agents for delivery.
• Contribute to IP library with templates and tools.
• Prepare for next engagement.
