Lead Enterprise Architect

BEST S.A. is a group operating in debt collection and financial services across Poland, Italy, Romania, and Bulgaria. The company builds its own technology and treats operational processes as a competitive advantage. The role is part of the architectural function within the Digital Transformation team.

• Over 5 years of practical experience as an architect
• Documented experience implementing or applying EA/SA standards and frameworks (EA on a Page, TOGAF, or equivalent)
• Proven examples of structuring complex business problems and driving solution recommendations to decisions
• Experience working with external vendors: RFP, POC, contract negotiation support, relationship management
• Proficiency in Polish and English, including presentations for Polish and international operational teams and negotiations with international vendors
• Ability to read P&L and connect architectural decisions with the economics of technological solutions

Nice to have:

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or similarly regulated and operationally intensive environments
• Practical experience with AI/ML solutions in a business context
• Documented ability to reframe business processes, changing not only solutions but problem definitions
• Experience working across multiple markets with different regulatory and operational contexts

• Maintain an up-to-date capability map for key business domains
• Collaborate with functional leaders to formulate 2–3 year development plans based on capability requirements
• Identify architectural debt and dependencies between domains before they become blockers
• Implement and maintain EA standards and practices
• Support architects and product owners in preparing business solution options and working with vendors
• Continuously monitor the market for solutions relevant to debt collection, fintech infrastructure, and related areas (skip tracing, payments, process automation, AI applications)
• Build and manage relationships with vendors, system integrators, and startups
• Conduct structured vendor assessments: scoring against business criteria, build-vs-buy analysis, total cost of ownership (TCO)
• Translate technical capabilities of vendors into business justifications: ROI estimates, integration complexity, operational impact
