Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Audience Platform - Customers API)

The Audience Platform team is part of Customers API, a cloud-native microservice platform on Azure that holds core data about Tesco customers and powers personalized customer communication and experiences. The platform processes around 500 million customer attribute updates weekly and is evolving towards Kubernetes for scalability and resilience.

• Around 6+ years of experience delivering Java solutions.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Good English communication skills.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud solutions and Terraform.
• Experience in system design.
• Experience leading projects and teams from technical and project perspectives.
• Proactive attitude.

• Develop high-quality software solutions using Java (Spring Boot or other frameworks).
• Work with Microsoft Azure and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) or learn these technologies.
• Implement and advocate CI/CD best practices.
• Maintain high-quality documentation for development and system design.
• Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and efficient.
• Take ownership of systems to drive reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers.
• Automate workflows and build tools/scripts to enhance efficiency.

This role requires the candidate to be based in or near Kraków, spending 60% of the week (3 days) in the office and the rest remotely.
