Oracle Developer (m/k)

PSE Innowacje is a company established in 2012 by the transmission system operator PSE S.A. It conducts analyses and research, including technical-economic analyses, research and development work, and builds, develops, and modernizes IT systems supporting network traffic management. The company focuses on ensuring reliable and efficient operation of the power system in Poland and its continuous development, serving as a unit for innovative special tasks in the power industry.

• Higher education in computer science, electronics, mathematics, or physics
• Minimum 8 years of experience in designing, programming, and optimizing complex software with database-based processing
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the power industry domain
• Proficient in designing data structures and data processing algorithms
• Proficient in writing SQL queries (preferably Oracle notation, optionally MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
• Proficient in procedural programming on databases – PLSQL
• Proficient in creating database objects such as tables, views, indexes, partitioning, object types
• Very good skills in SQL query optimization
• Experience working with large data volumes
• Knowledge and creation of best practices for batch database software development
• Ability to analyze and debug source code
• Ability to manage permissions within database objects
• Experience working with Git, Jenkins, Nexus repositories
• Analytical thinking
• Independence in diagnosing and solving problems
• Responsibility and punctuality in task execution
• Good teamwork skills

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Oracle Designer or Enterprise Architect
• Knowledge of Flyway
• Basic knowledge of Apache Kafka as a distribution channel

• Designing and creating database structures
• Designing and creating data processing algorithms
• Implementing functionalities using PLSQL and SQL
• Optimizing queries
• Technological supervision over database-based application development
• Supporting the solution architect in developing the IT system architecture based on databases
• Solving key problems related to databases
• Creating and updating technical documentation of database solutions
