Senior Data Architect

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture focused on scalable platform development.
• Strong practical experience with Databricks platform (preferably on GCP) and Apache Spark ecosystem (PySpark/Scala and Delta Lake).
• Solid experience with modern data clouds (preferably GCP, alternatively AWS/Azure) and data storage mechanisms (GCP Storage).
• Strong skills in optimizing vector databases and embedding models supporting RAG systems and LLM integrations.
• Proficient advanced SQL skills including complex query optimization and data warehouse concepts.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly present architectural vision to technical developers and business stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Associate certification.
• Practical knowledge of streaming/Big Data tools: Apache Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub, Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
• Familiarity with modern BI tools such as Looker Studio and Power BI.

• Design and oversee target architecture in the Lakehouse model using Delta Lake and Apache Spark.
• Manage security, data cataloging, and access controls via Databricks Unity Catalog.
• Optimize performance of ETL pipelines, clusters, and Databricks SQL queries to reduce costs and improve processing times.
• Integrate Databricks processes within CI/CD pipelines using DevOps practices and GitLab.
• Collaborate with domain analysts, data science teams, and product owners to translate requirements into stable architectural solutions and data pipelines.
• Design security and compliance mechanisms including data masking, encryption, and audit logging using Unity Catalog and GCP services.
