Insurance Product Configuration Engineer Lead

Programming/Technical Foundation:

• Backend engineer background (NestJS/TypeScript preferred).
• Ability to read code, understand integrations, and debug via logs.
• Distinguish between tool bugs, config mistakes, and data issues.
• Perform independent troubleshooting before engaging tech lead.

Insurance Configuration Knowledge:

• Learn through hands-on work; prior insurance experience helpful but not required.

Operational / Coordination Skills:

• Comfortable with ticket lifecycle: triage, assign, review, validate, UAT, handoff.
• Communicate clearly with Implementation Manager and tech lead.
• Proactive in identifying blockers early.
• Transparent about scope and tooling gaps.
• UAT mindset: translate client feedback into configuration fixes and distinguish expectations from system behavior.

Quality Mindset:

• Focus on getting it right the first time.
• Systematic troubleshooting approach.
• Attention to detail across rules, forms, data, integrations.
• Understand what a complete and correct configuration looks like before UAT.

New product onboarding:

• Lead configuration for new insurance products on the Carrier Platform.
• Manage changes to existing products, including rule updates, form changes, rater updates, and product definition updates.
• Clarify requirements with the Implementation Manager before and during implementation.
• Assign work to mid-level configuration engineers based on complexity, bandwidth, and development needs.
• Monitor progress, identify blockers, and reassign work when needed.

Configuration Execution:

• Perform configuration work directly as needed.
• Model quality standards and a structured troubleshooting approach for the team.
• Deliver configurations that function end-to-end and meet agreed requirements.

Quality Assurance (Pre-UAT):

• Review configurations before they move to UAT.
• Validate configuration work against requirements, acceptance criteria, and the quality checklist.
• Identify configuration errors, logic gaps, and data mismatches before UAT.
• Coach configuration engineers through rework when issues are found.
• Sign off configurations before they move to UAT.

UAT Partnership (with Implementation Manager):

• Execute UAT in partnership with the Implementation Manager.
• Validate configurations in real client scenarios.
• Troubleshoot UAT failures to determine issue source.
• Own configuration side of UAT outcomes.
• Coordinate fixes for configuration issues.

Requirement Clarification:

• Partner with the Implementation Manager to translate client and business needs into technical configuration requirements.
• Ask targeted implementation questions to the tech lead.
• Identify underspecified requirements early to avoid unresolved assumptions.

Zgoda na przetwarzanie danych osobowych może zostać wycofana w dowolnym momencie.
