Mid/Senior Technical Artist

Big Cheese Studio is the team behind the success of Cooking Simulator, a game popular with over a million players worldwide. The studio specializes in PC games and also develops titles for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and VR platforms. The company is rapidly growing and is based in Łódź, Poland.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Artist.
• At least one commercially released title.
• Expert knowledge of Unity HDRP and Built-in render pipeline.
• Combination of aesthetic sense and technical thinking.
• Knowledge of C#.
• Familiarity with profiling and optimization tools (Unity Profiler, PIX, RenderDoc, Nsight Graphics).
• Effective communication skills between art and programming teams.
• Very good knowledge of GIT version control system (including Unity YAML).
• Independence, initiative, and ability to organize work.

Nice to have:

• Experience in optimization and releasing games on consoles.
• Knowledge of animation.
• Familiarity with Blender, Substance Painter, and Substance 3D Designer.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python).

• Lighting scenes prepared by the 3D team.
• Creating, developing, and maintaining tools and workflows to improve the art team's work.
• Supporting the art team in asset implementation into the engine and resolving technical issues.
• Designing and implementing shaders and particle systems (VFX Graph).
• Solving ongoing technical problems and supporting the team with technical knowledge and GIT usage.
• Organizing technical work processes.
