Java Developer

Scalo is involved in projects related to OTT/e-commerce product development within the Digital team. The role includes programming tasks, technical consultations, code reviews, and contributing to team development. Work can be fully remote or hybrid with 1-3 days per week in the Warsaw office.

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Java Developer
• Strong knowledge of Java (multithreading, immutability)
• Experience with Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, WebFlux), MyBatis, TestContainers
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Familiarity with Confluence and Kafka
• Experience with ORM (Object-Relational Mapping)
• Understanding of software architecture concepts: microservices, RESTful architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, SOA, SSO (Okta, CAS, IAM)
• Experience with software testing: unit tests (JUnit, Mockito), integration and acceptance tests (Spock), performance testing support (JMeter, K6)
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Git (Bitbucket, GitLab), Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitLab pipelines
• Understanding of web application security principles (e.g., OWASP)
• Experience with AWS services including IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, MSK
• Frontend experience is a plus

• Participate in development of OTT/e-commerce products
• Provide technical consultations and advice to team members and other departments
• Conduct code reviews
• Support team development and growth
• Work schedule: Monday-Thursday 8.5 hours, Friday 6 hours or standard 8 hours Monday-Friday
• Work remotely or hybrid (1-3 days per week in Warsaw office)
