Product Designer

Trade Nation is a global CFD and spread betting broker headquartered in London with offices across Europe, South Africa, Asia-Pacific, and key offshore regions. Founded in 2014, it offers a trading platform available in 14 languages, focusing on transparency, low costs, and technology to help customers trade more effectively.

• Proven experience delivering production-ready UI reliably, to brief and on time
• Deep proficiency in Figma, including design systems, components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, and developer handoff
• Strong working knowledge of atomic design methodology
• Experience designing and launching app and web-based financial products
• Experience working with remote development teams and producing specification-quality handoffs
• Track record of embedding customer feedback, analytics (HotJar, Amplitude), and competitor insight into design thinking
• Experience validating and refining designs through A/B testing and prototyping
• Passion for designing simplicity in complex or regulated products

Preferred requirements:

• Experience designing trading platforms or other tightly regulated financial products
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS sufficient to communicate accurately with developers
• Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation tools
• Exposure to AI-assisted design tools such as Figma Make or Claude

• Own the brief-to-delivery pipeline, clarifying deliverables and success criteria before design begins
• Deliver high-quality UI on time and to specification, communicating risks transparently
• Work meticulously within the Figma design system, following tokens, variables, and naming conventions
• Create, maintain, and extend reusable components using atomic design principles
• Partner with front-end developers for developer-ready handoffs and participate in QA to ensure design intent
• Identify gaps and inconsistencies in the design system and propose solutions
• Self-review work rigorously against brief requirements and iterate quickly with a positive attitude

This role is remote with required occasional travel to London.
