Senior Data Engineer (Azure | Databricks)

1dea is an IT consulting company with a mature organizational structure and a strong market position. The role is within the data team working on data pipelines and cloud platforms.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer focusing on ETL and cloud tools.
• Mandatory certifications: Certified Azure Data Engineer and Databricks Certified Data Engineer.
• Excellent knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, ADLS, and MS Cloud SQL Server.
• Strong skills in Python, Java or Scala, and advanced SQL.
• Familiarity with PowerBI, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Experience with CI/CD processes related to data workflows.
• Analytical thinking, good communication skills, and teamwork orientation.
• Proficiency in English for daily work (spoken and written).

• Build and optimize scalable batch and real-time data processing pipelines in cloud environments.
• Design Databricks notebooks for data integration and configure ingestion frameworks.
• Migrate, clean, and transfer data from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms (Data Lake Core).
• Create and optimize data structures (DDL, tables, views) in MS Cloud SQL Server.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts and data architects to map data sources.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Implement automation in data workflows and ensure data quality through testing.
• Co-create data catalogs for data governance.
• Prepare technical documentation and prototypes based on business requirements.

The position requires working hybrid with 2 days per week in the Wrocław office and the rest remote. Candidates must provide CVs in English. The engagement is on a B2B contract with full-time commitment and a maximum 3-month notice period for candidates.
