Semantic Data Engineer

• Experience in data engineering including SQL and ETL jobs
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as document-oriented and graph databases
• Programming skills in Python
• Experience with DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, Git, infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, Terraform), and containers (Docker)

Desired experience and skills:

• Knowledge of semantic web technologies like RDF and SPARQL
• Experience with AWS serverless services such as Lambda, Glue, and Step Functions
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Growth mindset and ability to work with enterprise teams

Education:

• B.A. or B.S. degree preferably in IT or relevant skills and experience
• Professional proficiency in English

• Building ETL pipelines to integrate data from laboratory instruments
• Creating database queries to support effective use of laboratory instrument data
• Responding to Allotrope Foundation's releases and changes in MSD's DevOps and cloud infrastructure
• Developing MSD's extensions of Allotrope Simple Models in JSON Schema
