Senior Software Backend Developer

We lead the end-to-end development, deployment, and continuous enhancement of Toyota’s connected services ecosystem across European markets. Our work oversees the integration of vehicle connectivity platforms, mobile applications, and cloud-based services, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless user experience. We collaborate with engineering, product, IT, legal, and external partners to accelerate service rollout and maintain operational excellence.

• More than 6 years of experience in software backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Deep understanding of microservices, REST APIs, gRPC, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
• Expertise in microservices architecture including service decomposition, resilience, and scalability.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and deployment strategies.
• Strong expertise in version control systems such as GitLab or GitHub.
• Experience in leading teams or mentoring junior developers.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Additional requirements (considered an advantage):

• Understanding of connected vehicle ecosystems in the automotive industry.

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud platforms.
• Architect and implement microservices ensuring high availability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define system requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Implement advanced event-driven systems and messaging architectures.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and resilience of backend systems in a distributed architecture.
• Drive adoption of best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and best practices.
