AOSP Developer

co.brick Talents is hiring an AOSP Developer focused on Android Framework engineering, working remotely with a requirement to be based in Poland.

• Must be currently based in Poland.
• Minimum B2 level in English.
• Deep, practical knowledge of Android OS internals, focusing on the Framework layer.
• Proven commercial experience with Java, Kotlin, and XML.
• Mid or Senior-level experience in Android system-level development or custom ROM implementations.
• Strong debugging skills using system tools like adb, logcat, and bugreports.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with the Android build system (Soong, Blueprint, Makefiles).
• Basic understanding of C/C++ and the Android NDK / HAL layer.

• Developing, modifying, and optimizing the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) internals.
• Designing and implementing custom features within the Android Framework layer.
• Writing clean, efficient, and robust code using Java, Kotlin, and XML.
• Debugging and troubleshooting complex system-level issues.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define architecture requirements and deliver stable custom OS builds.

Candidate must be based in Poland (hard requirement).
