Senior Technical Business Analyst / Associate Product Owner

Square One Resources is recruiting for the Elevate Programme to support the rollout of a modern Mobile Messaging technology stack. The role bridges technical business analysis with product ownership, collaborating with Product Managers, Product Owners, Enterprise and Solution Architects, Development Teams, and external vendors within an Agile environment.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, IT Consultant, or similar role.
• Strong experience working alongside Solution or System Architects.
• Practical knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Experience creating process maps, technical documentation, and functional specifications.
• Hands-on experience with diagramming, wireframing, or UI design tools.
• Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional Agile teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience in one or more of Commercial Excellence, CRM, Omnichannel Marketing, Marketing Automation, Analytics, Mobile Messaging, Social Media Platforms, MarTech solutions.

Requirements Engineering & Backlog Management:

• Translate high-level business requirements into detailed, development-ready user stories.
• Define functional and technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and user scenarios.
• Co-own and continuously refine the product backlog with the Product Owner.
• Act as Proxy Product Owner for designated technical domains when required.

Technical Analysis & Solution Design:

• Analyze business processes and technical constraints to define optimal solution options.
• Create system workflows, process maps, data models, and API specifications.
• Collaborate closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects during solution design.
• Validate vendor-delivered solutions ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

Agile Delivery & Development Support:

• Support Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to development teams by answering functional and technical questions.
• Prepare test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management:

• Perform requirements elicitation, gap analysis, feasibility assessments, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Support prioritization activities by preparing backlog items for Product Owner decisions.
