Data Analyst (Senior)

Alterdata.io is a data services company looking for a contractor to collaborate as a Senior Data Analyst. The role involves working with Polish and international clients on designing modern Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, data modeling, and requirements analysis. Collaboration with Tech Leaders, Data Engineers, and client business teams is emphasized, focusing on making fact-based decisions. The cooperation model is fully remote under a B2B contract with guaranteed hours monthly.

• Commercial experience as a Data Analyst.
• Proficiency in SQL including complex queries, optimization, and analytical algorithm development.
• Experience in data modeling.
• Highly developed business thinking ability to translate client strategic goals and business context into data analytics and BI problems and solutions.
• Independence, proactivity, and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in project management, work planning, and problem-solving.
• Experience as a technical leader or coordinator of small development teams.
• Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio).
• Experience building dashboards with UI/UX design considerations.
• Very good organizational skills and effective communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with dbt, Dataform.
• Familiarity with Git version control and platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• English language proficiency minimum at C1 level.

• Interest and experience in AI tools supporting data analysis.
• Experience preparing data for AI solutions (e.g., traditional machine learning models, AI agents).
• Experience in Data Science.
• Experience in Python for data analysis (e.g., pandas, numpy).
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
• Knowledge of statistics and econometrics.

• Design and implement advanced, high-performance database analyses and SQL queries on large, complex datasets.
• Architect and deploy comprehensive data visualization (BI) solutions using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker to support strategic decision-making.
• Design optimal data models and develop methodologies and analytical algorithms addressing complex business challenges.
• Conduct advanced data exploration, behavioral analytics, and uncover business dependencies.
• Provide business consulting and design strategic KPIs aligned with operational and financial goals.
• Lead workshops and meetings with key business and technical stakeholders to structure analytical needs.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, data engineers, and business teams to ensure consistency and high performance of cloud-based analytic solutions.
• Maintain technical quality through code reviews and mentoring less experienced contractors.
• Design and oversee technical documentation and actively participate in improving agile project processes.
• Ensure implemented analytical solutions meet high technical, security, and business standards.
