Data Analyst (Mid)

Alterdata.io is a data services company seeking a contractor for the role of Mid Data Analyst. The role involves translating raw data structures into business value through designing modern Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, data modeling, and requirements analysis for Polish and international clients. Collaboration with Tech Leaders, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders is expected to support fact-based decision making.

• Commercial experience as a Data Analyst.
• Very good knowledge of SQL including complex queries, data analysis, and query optimization.
• Experience with data modeling.
• Ability to translate business needs into analyses, reports, and dashboards.
• Independence in completing tasks and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to cooperate with clients and project teams.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio or similar).
• Experience building dashboards, reports and presenting analysis results.
• Very good organization, teamwork skills, and effective communication.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness.
• English language proficiency at minimum C1 level.
• Knowledge of tools such as dbt, Dataform.
• Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis methods.
• Experience with version control system Git.

Nice to have:

• Interest and experience with AI tools supporting data analysis.
• Experience preparing data for AI or Machine Learning solutions.
• Experience using Python for data analysis (e.g., pandas, numpy).
• Knowledge of Google Analytics or other digital analytics tools.
• Experience utilizing AI tools in coding, e.g., Cursor, Claude Code.

• Independently create and develop data analyses using SQL.
• Implement and enhance dashboards and reports in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker based on business requirements.
• Co-create analytical solutions tailored to business needs.
• Continuously explore and analyze data structures to identify business trends and dependencies.
• Visualize and monitor key project KPIs.
• Collaborate with external clients to clarify business and analytical requirements.
• Work closely with technical teams throughout project phases.
• Prepare and update technical and analytical documentation for delivered solutions.
• Manage and coordinate own tasks.
• Verify data quality and ensure compliance of reports with technical and business assumptions.

Services are to be provided using own computer equipment and basic tools; license access to client projects is provided. Contract type is B2B with guaranteed order volume of approximately 160-180 hours monthly.
