Senior Data Streaming Engineer (Debezium)

A well-established European technology company operates a real-time data replication pipeline using Debezium to stream changes from an Oracle source database to PostgreSQL in a multi-tenant production environment. The project involves stabilizing and optimizing complex CDC configurations in production. The role is advisory and architectural within a data platform team.

• Proven hands-on experience with Debezium, specifically the Oracle connector
• Strong understanding of CDC concepts and log-based replication mechanisms such as LogMiner and supplemental logging
• Experience designing or troubleshooting CDC pipelines in multi-tenant architectures
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL as a replication target
• Ability to communicate clearly at both architecture and configuration levels
• English proficiency sufficient for remote advisory sessions

• Review the current Debezium setup and identify root causes of instability
• Advise on configuration best practices for the Oracle connector in a multi-tenant environment
• Propose architecture-level improvements to the CDC pipeline
• Guide the team through configuration changes and performance tuning
• Act as a technical sounding board for the internal data engineering team
