C++ Software Development Engineer

The position is within an international team focused on R&D projects involving communication and integration of devices with the cloud and IoT, specifically for heating system control products like heat pumps and boilers.

• Strong object-oriented C++ programming skills with practical knowledge of QT
• Experience in Embedded Linux development
• Knowledge of SomeIP communication protocols
• Experience with testing frameworks: Google Test, Robot Framework
• Agile development experience, preferably with Scrum
• Proficiency in English or German

Nice to have:

• Experience with IoT concepts, especially heating systems like heat pumps
• Knowledge of model-based development (Simulink)
• CI/CD know-how

• Develop and maintain C++ based embedded software on Embedded Linux for heating system control
• Implement graphical user interfaces using the QT library
• Integrate with system architecture via SomeIP communication
• Perform unit testing with Google Test, static code analysis, and system-level testing using Robot Framework and Python
• Collaborate in agile teams to meet sprint goals
• Deliver heating/cooling features, commissioning functionalities, and support Smart Home integration as part of a SAFe solution train within SCI Stream

Hybrid work arrangement: approximately 70% remote and 30% onsite in Katowice with quarterly business travel to Germany for planning purposes.
