Senior C# Engineer (AWS) | Remote

Appliscale is an independent Technology Consultancy specializing in bespoke, cloud-based systems and full-cycle engineering, working with industries such as gaming, proptech, legaltech, and adtech. They partner with startups, scaleups, and Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Their current focus includes building intelligent agents that drive automation and enable scalable agentic ecosystems. The company has a flat structure, remote-first culture, and self-organized teams.

• 5+ years of production software development experience as a C# engineer
• Solid hands-on experience with .NET Core and .NET Framework
• Experience working with AWS, Terraform, and CloudFormation
• Strong knowledge of DBMS such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB
• Expertise in REST APIs
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD processes
• Proficiency in object-oriented design patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Code
• Computer Science degree
• Experience using AI tooling
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies like SCRUM and/or Kanban
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
• Proficiency in English

Nice to have:

• Experience developing cloud and infrastructure solutions with AWS and CI/CD tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, CircleCI, GitlabCI, and Datadog
• Frontend development exposure in React
• Experience with object-oriented or functional languages such as TypeScript, Java, Elixir, C++, Golang, Erlang, Python, or Kotlin

• Designing, writing, and testing backend functionalities in C#
• Designing software architecture between backend, frontend, and mobile applications
• Deploying and maintaining microservices in AWS using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Debugging and maintaining production systems used by consumers in several European countries
• Scoping and assessing the complexity of new features
• Participating in sprint planning, daily sprints, and grooming meetings with product owners
• Collaborating with other team members and dependent teams
• Recruiting and mentoring new team members
