Head of IT

BALTICON S.A. is a Polish logistics and trading company operating for over 35 years with major shipping lines worldwide. The company handles transport, servicing, sales, and rental of sea containers and operates container depots in Gdynia, Gdańsk, Szczecin, and Warsaw. It has offices in Poland and Spain and employs over 300 people. In 2023, the company launched a new inland container terminal service offering intermodal transport and container transshipment. Under the brand Eco Containers, they sell and rent sea containers, refrigerated containers, and living containers, with a production plant in Gdańsk for container modifications.

• Higher education in technical, IT, or managerial fields with many years of IT management experience.
• Experience managing project and operational budgets and capability to model system architecture.
• Knowledge of digitization, change management, automation, and implementing AI tools in business.
• Mature leadership skills with systemic thinking and emotional maturity.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, building relationships with management and business, and fostering team engagement.

• Creating and implementing long-term IT strategy aligned with business goals.
• Designing IT department structure, optimizing performance, and overseeing Support, Development, and Security/AI areas.
• Full responsibility for IT budget, infrastructure costs, licenses, and technological investments.
• Implementing modern solutions with particular emphasis on AI and process automation.
• Regular reporting to management on project implementation, IT effectiveness, and budget discipline.
