Senior Fire Protection Engineer (k/m)

• BS degree in Fire Protection (or related) Engineering from an accredited university or college with 5 years of progressive related experience, or 15 years of related experience without degree (Level 1).
• BS degree in Fire Protection (or related) Engineering from an accredited university or college with 10 years of progressive related experience, or 15 years of related experience without degree (Level 2).
• Ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Authorization to live and work in Poland.
• Knowledge of local/EU fire, life safety, and building regulations.
• Familiarity with commercial risk management and fire protection.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS degree in Fire Protection (or related) Engineering from an accredited university or college.

• Support project needs for design, design review, commissioning, testing, code interpretations, and walk downs at project locations as required.
• Independently apply fire safety principles in the development of structures, systems, and components.
• Support construction activities.
• Develop fire protection system acceptance.
• Interface with internal and external customers regarding design, installation, and testing of Fire Protection Systems.
• Support development of fire protection components of authorization basis documents and other safety submittals.
• Interface with other disciplines to provide direction, feedback, and validation of engineering and design efforts.
• Perform Fire Protection reviews to ensure compliance with local orders, building codes, and client requirements.
• Provide technical guidance in reviews of engineering analyses and judgements for alternative fire barrier systems, opening protectives, and penetration firestops.
• Support alignment of fire protection system design and installation with requirements in authorization basis documents, facility Fire Hazards Analysis, and Engineering Basis of Design.
• Lead development and maintenance of fire hazards analysis using recognized fire protection industry approaches, methodologies, calculations, and advanced fire modeling.
