Data Engineering Manager

Relativity is a leading legal data intelligence company building AI-powered cloud technology for legal data organization, discovery, and insights. Their platform, RelativityOne, serves large law firms, corporations, and government agencies to manage legal information securely. The role is within a data engineering team expanding capabilities in analytics, scalable data processing, and modern lakehouse architecture.

• 2+ years leading data engineering or software engineering teams
• Hands-on experience building and operating large-scale data processing systems
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Knowledge of lakehouse technologies such as Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and CI/CD automation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark or Flink
• Experience building self-service analytics or internal data platforms
• Understanding of AI/ML workflows and data requirements for model development

• Build, mentor, and develop a strong data engineering team fostering collaboration and learning
• Encourage continuous improvement and technical excellence
• Support defining and evolving engineering standards for reliable and maintainable systems
• Contribute hands-on to data pipelines, platform engineering, and architectural discussions

• Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding priorities, risks, and progress
