Senior Software Engineer .Net

The role is within POL GPC Global Technology Center, part of the world's leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services, operating over 5,500 locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering and technology
• Expertise in data structures, object-oriented programming, functional programming, and familiarity with microservices and cloud technologies
• In-depth knowledge of the C# programming language and the .NET framework, especially MVC, WEB API, and EF
• Understanding of microservices principles and patterns, including autonomous services implementing single business functions
• Experience running high throughput low latency end user-facing microservices
• Understanding of core concepts of Kubernetes including pods, deployments, services, ingress, and container orchestration
• Experience with DevOps practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Experience with cloud computing on at least one major provider, preferably Azure
• Experience in designing and running A/B tests and analyzing key metrics
• Experience designing event-driven mechanisms, publish/subscribe models
• Experience writing automated tests - unit and integration tests

• Lead, collaborate and pair with other product team members (engineering and product management) to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions
• Design and develop secure, scalable, resilient cloud-native microservices and adhere to team working agreements
• Participate in all phases of the integration development lifecycle, including unit testing and ongoing support
• Collaborate with Architects and other Software Engineering resources in designing and implementing integrated, enterprise solutions
• Create dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to capture and address issues proactively
• Act as subject matter expert in assigned business and technical domains and be the "go-to" person on integration-related questions
• Maintain a "test-first" attitude with focus on automation
• Employ best practices around observability, monitoring, and system resilience
• Guide and act as a resource to other engineers on the team
