Golang Software Engineer

Founded in 2014, Opendoor's mission is to empower everyone with the freedom to move by building a digital, end-to-end customer experience to simplify real estate transactions. The team builds complex, large-scale distributed systems orchestrating the entire real estate transaction lifecycle and foundational cloud computing platforms transforming the industry.

• 4+ years of commercial experience as a Software Development Engineer.
• 4+ years of programming experience with at least one modern programming language, including Go, Python, Ruby, or C/C++.
• 1+ years contributing to architecture and design of new and concurrent low latency systems, including Kafka and ML pipelines.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and datastores including ElasticSearch, Redis.
• Solid understanding of app performance, monitoring, and optimization.
• Experience with tooling and building pipelines on modern CI platforms is a plus.
• Experience working with public cloud providers like AWS or GCP is a plus.
• Solid computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design.
• Self-starter mentality with operational focus and natural problem-solving skills.
