Senior Java Software Engineer

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java expertise
• Ability to design and deliver distributed systems in production and maintain their operation
• Independent ownership of complex initiatives including architecture decisions and post-incident reviews
• Natural mentorship skills with direct and constructive technical code reviews
• Deep understanding of testing strategies, CI/CD, and engineering excellence
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and microservices at scale is a strong advantage

• Design, build, and operate scalable, high-performance Java services for sports data and betting products running 24/7
• Take independent ownership of complex technical initiatives from initial design through to production delivery
• Contribute to cloud-native architecture on AWS, influencing decisions affecting the platform
• Mentor engineers through code review and pairing
• Drive improvements in code quality, test coverage, engineering practices, and team standards
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on technical direction
• Build expertise in a demanding real-time data environment
