Senior ML/Python Engineer

Devopsbay are MLOPS, DevOps and AI specialists supporting clients with strong engineers on a project basis. They develop in-house products such as Agentic AI tools and support cutting-edge clients, including a modern insurance brokerage and advisory firm using advanced technology and AI-powered tools to transform the insurance industry.

• Proficient in Python.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Strong skills in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Expertise in AI.
• Experience with ETL tools.
• Knowledge of large language models (LLM).
• Familiarity with AWS.
• Fluent English (C1) required.
• Availability for meetings mainly until 19:00 PT timezone.

• Work with technologies and environments including Agentic AI, TypeScript, Snowflake, AWS, LLM-related technologies, data integrations, APIs, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build LLM-powered applications using retrieval-augmented generation, tool usage, context management, prompt engineering, evaluation, and feedback loops.
• Develop a chatbot that learns from user interactions and supports domain-specific knowledge.
• Design and implement integrations with multiple internal and external data sources.
• Prepare reliable data pipelines, transformations, and data-access layers for structured and unstructured data.
• Take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive solutions end-to-end.
• Communicate with the team and collaborate closely with non-technical users.
• Work on a dynamic, startup-style project requiring quick learning, experimentation, and iteration.

Nice To Have:

• Experience with event-driven architectures and workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience in regulated domains such as insurance, fintech, or healthcare.
• Familiarity with AWS services and distributed backend infrastructure.

Working within this project requires availability for meetings in the PT timezone (mainly till 19:00, usually no later than 18:00) and fluent English. The administrator of personal data is Devopsbay with its seat in Sopot, Poland, processing data in accordance with legal requirements. Data provision has legal obligations linked to the recruitment process.
