Data Scientist - Partner Growth & Pricing

Our team is part of Allegro Tech, focused on data solutions to drive partner growth via price competitiveness, product selection, and strategic campaigns. This team collaborates closely with developers and product teams through all project stages to create fair and trustworthy marketplace experiences. Allegro is a data-driven technology company operating one of the largest eCommerce platforms globally, implementing AI and Data Science projects at a scale unprecedented in Poland.

• Experience in data analysis using SQL and building production machine learning solutions with end-to-end model design
• Ability to translate business challenges into machine learning problems
• Clear communication skills with business units to formulate analytical problems and present results intuitively
• Experience with ML and AI, especially large language models (LLMs)
• High independence, strong work organization, taking full project responsibility
• Programming proficiency in Python and usage of development tools
• Understanding of statistical and machine learning methods
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI principles including using GenAI coding tools like Copilot
• Fluent in English and Polish at B2+ level or higher
• Degree related to statistical/mathematical modeling (Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Computer Science or similar) or equivalent job experience in data science/ML

• Co-create projects from concept to productization, delivering insights and business problem solutions across areas
• Use a wide range of model types including boosting models, Bayesian methods, causal inference, optimization, deep learning, Generative AI including LLMs and Agentic AI
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to manage data processing on GCP
• Work with tabular, spatial, natural language, image, and time series data
• Participate in implementation of off-line and on-line models
• Brainstorm, mentor, and share knowledge within the team
• Cooperate with business stakeholders, analytics, and data engineers
