Senior Software Engineer - Sales Tech

Okta is The World’s Identity Company, providing workforce and customer identity cloud solutions to enable secure and flexible access, authentication, and automation. The Technology Data and Intelligence (TDI) team focuses on boosting internal efficiency through secure, scalable systems. The Sales and Partners Technology Team maintains and expands the Partner Relationship Management (PRM) platform, IMPartner, integrated with Salesforce.

• Extensive knowledge of Partner Relationship Management (PRM) platforms; proven experience with IMPartner is a plus.
• Salesforce development expertise with 5+ years in Apex, Process/Flow Automations, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• 1-2 years in software engineering with experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• In-depth knowledge of sales and partner ecosystems, including partner lifecycle management, deal registration, and incentive programs.
• Expertise in AI agent frameworks, orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and advanced vector search.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Salesforce security features and data privacy regulations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, technical leadership, mentoring abilities, and project management.

Nice to have:

• Official IMPartner trainings.
• Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, Technical Architect.
• Previous experience in high-growth, SaaS, fast-paced tech companies.

Solution Design and Architecture:

• Architect and design secure, scalable solutions translating complex business requirements into technical specifications using IMPartner and Salesforce integration.
• Collaborate on integrations between Salesforce, Okta’s partner portals, and downstream systems ensuring seamless data flow.

Technical Implementation:

• Lead translation of user stories into robust, scalable technical designs.
• Execute features end-to-end aligned with organizational standards.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

• Ensure 100% unit test coverage for new logic.
• Build and maintain automated test regression suites.

Code and Peer Mentorship:

• Conduct thorough pull request reviews and provide feedback to junior and mid-level developers.

Deployment and Release Support:

• Manage deployment cycles including documentation, Jira approvals, environment testing, and production validation.

Global Collaboration & Ownership:

• Communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional global teams and stakeholders.
