Software Integrator Engineer

BorgWarner is hiring a Software Integrator Engineer responsible for integrating software units hierarchically into Software Components according to the Project Development Plan and Product Management Plan, ensuring consistency with the software architecture.

• B.S. in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Previous experience in software engineering in microcontroller programming or low-level software development for real-time embedded systems.
• Good understanding of embedded systems and good knowledge of C language and AUTOSAR.
• Experience as software build manager, integrator, or tester is a plus.
• Experience working within standardized software development process environments, preferably ASPICE.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluency in English.

• Develop a comprehensive integration plan/pipeline to outline the sequence of integration steps and dependencies to ensure minimal merge conflicts and establish a roadmap for software release.
• Work closely with the software team to ensure components are developed according to the integration strategy.
• Own the development branch, create release branches, and integrate changes to master branch when ready.
• Collaborate with Software Development Lead and project leadership to meet project milestones.
• Support and guide developers to resolve merge conflicts.
• Use AUTOSAR tools to regenerate code after integration when necessary.
• Perform CPU utilization tests to identify CPU runtime, RAM, and ROM consumption trends and create defect tickets as needed.
• Participate in code review processes to be aware of integration conflicts.
• Run Smoke, Sanity, and Motor Control tests on appropriate test benches before delivering to Integration Regression Testing.
• Create, maintain, and improve Smoke, Sanity, and Motor Control tests based on release content.
• Investigate, debug, and troubleshoot issues during or after software integration, collaborating with module owners to resolve them.
• Establish and maintain integration configuration process documentation.
• Identify and implement methods or scripts to enhance the integration process.
