Google Cloud Technical Lead/Lead Engineer

The role is within the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) Agile Release Train (ART), focusing on building and operating scalable Google Cloud Platform services for enterprise clients.

• Minimum 5 years experience in cloud engineering with strong focus on Google Cloud Platform
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform
• Understanding of cloud billing, cost allocation, and optimization in enterprise environments
• Proficiency in scripting and troubleshooting with Python and Bash
• Experience setting up enterprise-level account structures and security models on GCP
• Familiarity with PaaS offerings and containerized/serverless workloads such as GKE and Cloud Run
• Experience operating cloud platforms at enterprise scale balancing security, compliance, reliability, and performance
• Knowledge of cloud delivery models and data integration patterns
• Engineering and coding skills in agile environments
• Knowledge of IT architecture methodologies like TOGAF and service management processes such as ITIL
• Proven track record in road mapping, technical architecture design, solution definition, and project management
• Experience from large international companies and global service providers
• Strong leadership, documentation, and customer-facing skills
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including SAFe and Scrum
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

• Define technology standards and the future state of Google Cloud Platform services, including reference architectures and guiding principles
• Collaborate with Product Owner, Scrum Master, System Architects, and team members to develop and operate cloud platform services
• Lead design and implementation of Identity and Access Management on Google Cloud Platform, including service accounts and organizational policies
• Drive infrastructure automation and standardized provisioning using Infrastructure as Code, focusing on Terraform and reusable modules
• Support team members in developing and maintaining platform services with infrastructure-as-code and automation best practices
• Collaborate with FinOps stakeholders to integrate billing visibility, cost control, and optimization into platform services
• Ensure security, compliance, and quality standards via design reviews, implementation validation, and continuous improvement
• Mentor engineers within the team and contribute to cloud best practices, documentation, and patterns
• Build proofs of concept and proofs of value for new Google Cloud capabilities
• Maintain high quality cloud design documentation within the domain
