Enterprise Data Governance Lead

DCV Technologies is hiring an Enterprise Data Governance Lead to architect, enable, and scale enterprise data governance and stewardship capabilities. The role involves working in a hybrid mode based in Warsaw and focuses on orchestrating domain onboarding, coordinating stewardship activities, and leading governance initiatives alongside the Head of Enterprise Data Governance.

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, or Enterprise Data Management.
• Proven experience as a Data Governance SME within federated, matrixed, or enterprise-scale models.
• Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes without formal authority.
• Experience managing data governance projects across business and technical teams.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data governance platforms such as Informatica IDMC/CDGC/CDQ/CDMP, Atlan, Alation.
• Strong understanding of data classification, metadata management, and regulatory-aligned governance practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across Business, IT, Security, Legal, and Compliance.
• Ability to translate complex governance strategy and policy into practical executable processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading enablement and adoption of Informatica governance platforms (IDMC/CDGC/CDQ/CDMP/AXON).
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops and governance sessions.
• Experience governing "Data as a Product" within platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
• Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or life sciences, including knowledge of GxP, clinical trial, or R&D data environments.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and data readiness for ML/AI pipelines.
• Experience defining and reporting governance and stewardship KPIs.
• Relevant certifications such as CDMP, DGSP, DCAM, or equivalents are a plus.

Strategic Implementation:

• Act as the SME in data governance, contributing to operating model, policies, standards, and best practices.

Drive Adoption:

• Lead onboarding of new domains into the federated governance model.
• Enable roles, provide training, and drive adoption of governance processes and tools.

Enable Self-Service:

• Implement and manage an Enterprise Data Catalog & Marketplace to facilitate data discovery and access.

Influence Without Authority:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to embed governance.
• Drive consensus, resolve conflicts, and balance regulatory risk, data quality, and timelines.

Innovate with AI:

• Evaluate and implement AI-assisted approaches for metadata enrichment, data classification, and workflow automation.

Build Bridges:

• Maintain relationships with business, technology, security, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
• Facilitate structured decision discussions on governance strategies.

Report & Improve:

• Establish, monitor, and report on governance KPIs including onboarding progress, steward engagement, metadata coverage, and service provider performance.

Develop Frameworks:

• Author data policies, processes, and procedures aligned with data management standards.

Pilot & Refine:

• Test new governance approaches, gather feedback, and champion continuous improvement.
