Senior QA Engineer

With over 25 years’ experience, zooplus is a trailblazer in the pet e-commerce industry, serving over 12 million customers. The role is within the SHOPPING department in the Engineering and Operation function of zooplus, focused on delivering high-quality product features using modern agile and technical practices.

• Knowledge of software testing theory.
• Comfortable developing test automation frameworks from scratch and maintaining existing ones.
• At least 6 years of experience in manual and automated software testing.
• Strong experience in varied testing practices integrated within CI/CD.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools such as Jenkins, Kibana, Grafana.
• Knowledge of K8s and Docker.
• Experience with UI testing, REST protocol, and microservice architecture.
• Mobile QA Engineering skills including Espresso, XCUITest, Testrail, Bitrise, Charles Proxy, Postman, and BrowserStack.
• Strong experience with Java/Kotlin, Swift, and their use in CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work in an agile environment using Scrum.
• Autonomous, self-responsible, and self-organized work style.
• Proficient communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Bitbucket.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and modern SDLC tooling such as GitHub Copilot and using AI for code generation, refactoring, test automation, documentation, debugging, prototyping, and architectural decisions.

• Take ownership and responsibility for the design and development of all aspects of testing.
• Work on acceptance criteria and test scenarios with the Product Owner and development team.
• Design, execute, and maintain test scenarios and automation for all test levels and types.
• Create and optimize test frameworks and integrate them into deployment pipelines.
• Participate in the code review process for both production and test code.
• Monitor test runs, application errors, and performance.
• Keep the team informed and engage in releases and defect tracking.
• Share best testing and quality practices across zooplus.
• Promote and coach the team towards a quality-focused mindset.
• Influence and lead continuous improvement and best testing practices.
• Act as the reference of the QA Center of Practice, influencing strategy and practice sharing.
