Data Engineer (K/M)

Alior Bank SA is hiring for a data engineering position based in Warszawa, focused on data platform development and support within the banking sector.

• Knowledge of Data Warehouses, Big Data, and BI
• Experience with cloud Data Lakehouse technologies, especially Snowflake
• Proficiency in SQL
• Ability to apply architectural principles in managing data processing environments
• Capability to define system requirements based on user needs
• Effective communication management with platform users
• Self-driven and open to personal development

Nice to have:

• Experience with scheduling tools such as AutomateNow
• Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI and Tableau
• Understanding challenges related to ML / AI processes
• Ability to use Python
• Experience working in a financial institution

• Support building and developing the data model on the data platform
• Provide analytical and architectural support to data platform developers
• Test new data ingestion mechanisms and sources for the data platform
• Support data processing workflows on the data platform
• Manage changes on the data platform
• Optimize resources of the data platform, including managing cost control rules
• Design and maintain Data Marts on the data platform
• Support users of the data platform
