Game Designer

PARASIGHT is an independent game development studio and the creator of BLACKTAIL, a critically acclaimed action-adventure game inspired by the legend of Baba Yaga. Their latest title, DAVY x JONES, launched in Early Access in 2025, marking the next chapter in the studio's journey.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in game design with at least one shipped AA+/AAA title
• Strong design and analytical skills to create fun and balanced game experiences
• Solid understanding of game mechanics and player psychology
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5; Blueprint experience is a strong advantage
• Effective communication skills across multiple disciplines
• Strong ownership, organization, and problem-solving abilities
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Passionate gamer with enthusiasm for exploring various game genres and mechanics

Nice to have:

• Previous experience or knowledge in narrative design or world-building

• Conceptualize, design, and prototype core gameplay mechanics using UE 5 aligned with the game's vision and player experience goals
• Take ownership of assigned gameplay features from concept through implementation, iteration, balancing, and polish
• Coordinate implementation of assigned features, identify dependencies and risks early, and keep design work moving forward
• Develop detailed game documentation including feature outlines, gameplay scenarios, and design specifications
• Support playtesting, analyze feedback, and convert findings into concrete design improvements
