Engineering Manager

KMD builds digital solutions used globally by governments, public services, financial industries, and private companies, focusing on reliability, accessibility, and efficiency. The role is within KMD Poland, working on KMD Elements, a cloud-based platform dedicated to complex data validation, advanced formula-based settlements, automated grid inventory management, and market communication for energy companies internationally. The product supports the transition towards sustainable energy and efficient energy consumption.

• Proven hands-on experience as an Engineering Manager working closely with development teams
• Strong technical background and ability to engage in meaningful discussions with engineers
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience
• Previous experience managing engineering teams in a product-oriented environment
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and align teams toward common goals
• Strong interpersonal skills, proactive, patient, and diplomatic
• Experience working in agile environments

• Leading and growing engineering teams, including hiring, development, and performance management
• Ensuring strong alignment between engineering efforts and business goals
• Building a high-performing, agile, product- and quality-oriented team environment
• Establishing and evolving technologies, engineering practices, and ways of working
• Removing impediments and supporting teams in effective delivery
• Acting as a technical sparring partner for Developers and Architects
• Actively engaging in technical discussions, supporting architectural decisions, and guiding engineering direction
• Driving collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams and business areas
• Coaching teams and individuals, helping them grow both technically and professionally

Focus on Poland-based teams with readiness to travel approx. 10% of time to Denmark.
